Show the Work
This section is for dimensions, equations, assumptions, test setups, measured results and the difference between a specification and what it actually means in a building.
An R-value without species, moisture, thickness and method is not very useful. A robot repeatability specification is not the same thing as finished-part accuracy. A test result without the test setup is just a number.
Here, we keep the context attached.
No Magic Numbers
We are interested in numbers we can defend, not numbers that look good in a brochure.
Where a value is calculated, we show the assumptions. Where it is measured, we describe how it was measured. Where a useful number depends on conditions, those conditions belong beside it.
And where we do not yet have a defensible measured value, we will say so.
